Hey guys, welcome to Lift At Home!

My name is Jason and I am the founder of liftathome.com. I have lifted weights on and off for the majority of my adult life but somehow I never managed to stick to my training and I was always easily distracted from my muscle building goals, that is until now!

Staring down the barrel at my (fast approaching) forties I knew I had to get motivated and get in shape, it was now or never! With my new-found incentive and self-imposed deadline I have now begun to get the results I longed for back when I was in my twenties, oh well, better late than never right?

Reflecting on my teenage years, when I would try to emulate my father by lifting weights in my bedroom (memories of trying to avoid smashing the fish tank, whilst maneuvering a loaded barbell are suddenly returning) it became apparent that not everyone in the world has access to a gym.

Maybe the use of a gym is unavailable in your area, inconvenient, too expensive or you just prefer lifting in the comfort of your own home until you feel more confident to enter a gym. Either way, lifting at home is something that many of us will do during our muscle building journey.

I have personally found that having the option of lifting at home is a great way to back up my training. Whilst I frequent my local gym four times a week this isn’t always possible EVERY week – even the most dedicated of lifters out there will find their routine interrupted at some point.

This is when having some essential bits of equipment at home, i, e; an adjustable dumbbell set, can come in extremely handy and keep you on track of your muscle building goal, allowing you to bang out a few sets and stimulate the muscle group that you would of otherwise missed that week.

Knowing that many people have the same goals as myself and will be trying to figure out what they need in order to train at home is what brought me to building this website.
